1940s Unlabeled Black Jersey Draped & Fitted Day or Cocktail Dress designer-stephen-burrows Item# S474These little black jersey dresses that were made on the late 1940s and early 1950s are wonderful examples of the work being done in these early forms of jersey. The dress is made of a very early silk knit jersey. The fabric is very fluid and drapes very well making it a preferred choice for many dress designers during this time period. The bodice has a detailing on it created by the soft pleats that curve up either side to the neckline. The neckline
